Qube Broadbeach is the newest upscale apartment resort to take it’s highly prized spot in the Broadbeach skyline. The management and letting rights to Qube are owned and operated exclusively by PCJ MR Pty Ltd a company; a company name that has become synonymous with quality, professional management within holiday apartment resort management circles.   Owned and operated by successful Gold Coast businessmen Frank Picone, Paul Picone, Jason Picone and Craig Picone, the Picone Family also own the rights to two other resorts; Synergy Broadbeach and the landmark Boardwalk Burleigh Beach located on the stunning ocean front at Burleigh Heads.

Collectively, the Picone Family bring over 100 years of combined experience to the table which has provided them with the knowledge of the requirements demanded by holiday makers and corporate guests alike and allows them to continually apply their vast experience to ensure these expectations are constantly met or exceeded.

Frank Picone is, arguably, the most successful independent owner and operator of Management Letting Rights businesses on the Gold Coast.  His long term success is attributed to applying the personal touch that only a family business can provide, has been a key ingredient in elevating our resorts to amongst the most popular and successful on the Gold Coast for decades.

The Broadbeach on the Park, the award winning Wave Resort and Phoenician Resort Apartments (Broadbeach), Gemini Court (Burleigh Heads), Ocean Plaza Resort (Coolangatta) and the high profile Towers of Chevron Renaissance (Surfers Paradise) are just some examples of prime resorts previously managed by Frank Picone that have provided memorable experiences for guests over the years.

Previously, Frank was often the sole owner of businesses he managed, but in recently, he has partnered with his three sons, Paul, Jason and Craig (under the banner of PCJ MR Pty Ltd).

Paul Picone himself has also been carving a reputation as one of the most successful identities in management letting rights industry since actively worked in the operational areas of his father’s businesses from as early as the 80’s before joining forces as partner with Frank in major projects such as opening the high profile Diamond Beach Resort (Broadbeach, Gold Coast); arguably the most successful management letting rights resort during the 90’s. Paul Picone’s role as General Manager of Diamond Beach Resort saw him grow the business to a level that it was seen as a key target acquisition by the then “BreakFree Resorts” (now the Mantra Group) who purchased the resort from Paul and Frank Picone.

Other resorts Paul has been involved with (either as owner/operator or as in a management positionfor his father Frank’s business) include:
Ocean Plaza Resort at Coolangatta, Gemini Court at Burleigh Heads, Phoenician Health and Spa Resort at Broadbeach. Shortly afterwards, the following resorts were added to the portfolio Freshwater Point and Carmel By The Sea (Broadbeach), Swell Apartments (Burleigh Heads), The Coolum Beach Retreat (Coolum), Rise Apartments (Noosa), Shearwater Resort (Caloundra), The Wave (Broadbeach), and finally, The Beach (Cabarita NSW).

In 2009, Frank Picone purchased the letting and management rights to the Towers of Chevron Renaissance which held the mantle of being the Gold Coast’s largest strata titled resort. With  Paul Picone at the helm as General Manager,  this mammoth Gold Coast resort clearly stood out as a leader in its performance and was recognised as the largest and most successful management letting rights on the Gold Coast prior to its sale to the Mantra Group in September 2015.

Paul Picone’s recipe for success is that he is actively involved at every level of the business to ensure he has a working knowledge of every aspect if the business yet developing a team with the ability to make decisions quickly to ensure a business that is fast to react to situations and provide a very flexible service to all customers and guests.  He insists the culture of a “family” business is maintained to continually guarantee guests receive a friendly and personal experience, yet in a professional manner to guarantee the ongoing success of the business.

In late 90’s,  Jason and Craig, Frank’s other two sons, became actively involved with the family business before managing numerous resorts within the family portfolio:  Swell Resort (Burleigh Heads) and Coolum Beach Retreat (Sunshine Coast) before performing senior roles  at the Towers of Chevron Renaissance alongside Paul Picone. The success of this resort is well documented and no doubt the input of Jason and Craig was critical to the resort’s success.

In 2015, following the sale of Towers of Chevron Renaissance to the Mantra Group, Frank, Craig, Jason and Paul Picone formed the current business as equal partners in purchasing the management rights for the hugely popular  Synergy Broadbeach, Qube Broadbeach and Boardwalk Burleigh Beach. Today, they are actively involved in applying their proven formulae to these recently completed resorts.  Their input is already having immense positive effects on the business.
